Dear friends,
Today’s short newsletter is for those who are interested in Japanese photography. (I think that may be a lot of you.)
Tatsuo Suzuki is one of Japan’s most respected street photographers. His first book, Friction / Tokyo Street, sold out almost immediately and is a classic of the genre.
This autumn, I have had the privilege of working with Tatsuo to prepare the funding campaign for his next book, 濤声 -The Sound of Waves.
濤声 -The Sound of Waves isn’t about Tokyo’s streets. It’s about mourning, and about life, and about finding strength.
Personally, I am blown away by this book. I’m not going to say more about it, because I would like you to instead visit Tatsuo’s Kickstarter page and learn directly from him about his story, his new book, and the process of creating it. In particular, I think you are really going to enjoy the three minute video that leads off the page. Here’s the link:

Thank you for checking it out. And please feel free to pass this message along to others who may be interested.
Wishing you pleasant holidays,
Joel
